Broken Knight (All Saints High #2) by L.J. Shen

Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower.

Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants—namely, the boy from the treehouse who taught her how to curse in sign language.

Who taught her how to laugh.

To live.

To love.

Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero.

This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna.

But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.

When life throws a curveball at All Saints’ golden boy, he’s forced to realize not all knights are heroes.

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

I’m not quite sure what to say other than Bravo. I’ve spent the last 20 minutes bawling my eyes out over what is possibly one of the best books I’ve read. The author has yet again penned a book worthy of my time, tears and love. I’m not one to throw around “best book” of the authors because with a  back list like hers that’s a big statement, however I feel that in this case it is justified.

Knight was everything I was hoping him to be. Sweet, funny, flawed. He was an incredible character with a big heart and an even bigger personality that had me shaking my fist at him a few times. He truly was a good guy and his connection and love for Luna had me all up in my feels for the entire story.

Luna was perfection. I loved how she came into her own and found her strength. She stumbled a few times on her journey, but she always righted herself while fighting for what she wanted.

I loved the development of both of theses characters throughout the story. The struggle, self doubt and  all of the emotions felt so big. You hurt and love and heal right along with these two.

I think Knight and Luna are going to hold a place in the hearts of for a very long time. My advice to any one picking this up would be savor this story, wrap yourself up in this one and revel in the words because this one is truly something special.
