Rock Chick Reborn (Rock Chick #9) by Kristen Ashley
As a Rock Chick, Shirleen Jackson lived through all the kidnappings and explosions. Along the way, she also watched the dramatic love stories that came with those rides unfold.
But long ago, Shirleen made her choice. It affected who she was and would always be. She decided to settle for what she had and not want more. She had good friends. She was raising two fine young men who weren’t hers, but she loved them anyway.
She was good.
And then Moses Richardson crashed into her life, literally… and deliberately.
Moses has different ideas about Shirleen. He’s more interested in the Shirleen of now, mostly because she’s interesting. And funny. And loyal. Smart. Beautiful.
But Moses has a big challenge on his hands.
He has to convince Shirleen of all that.
And then convince her she deserves to have more.
What a great way to end this series.
I mean, I think it’s the end of the series. I can’t think of anyone else that needs their HEA with this group…but, I’m getting off track and we have to get to Shirleen.
Again… great end to an unforgettable series! I enjoyed this one on audible. And, I have to say, Nicole Small did a fantastic job bringing Shirleen to life for me. Shirleen was everything I never knew I wanted for her character. Yeah, she had some regrets for what she had to do to survive her past, but she came through it strong and totally redeemed herself. Even though she struggled with having pride in where she was now.
I wasn’t sure Moses was going to be a good fit for Shirleen. If they had build-a-man shops for badass women, Moses is not what I probably would have built for her. Thank fuck I’m not in charge of that shit. Really… KA has proven again, she knows what she’s doing. He’s hot. He’s uniquely suited to understand the choices that Shirleen has made. And, he is completely fascinated by Shirleen. Perfect.
The reactions that Sniff and Roam have, and the paces they put Moses through, show just how much they love Shirleen and their parts were some of my favorites. Watch for the Rock Chick pow wow…it’s classic Rock Chick and nothing I would have ever expected for Shirleen. And, the reaction of the Hot Guy Bunch, just reinforces why these women are so damn lucky.
I’m not going to hold out hope for more Rock Chick books, but I’m definitely going to be returning for a visit.
