Under suspicion for a crime she watched him commit, Lana will pay for her silence. Her new lawyer strikes a deal, sending her to a boarding school in Vermont. It’s supposed to be a second chance. An escape from a dead-end life in Sherling. Except Lana doesn’t want to leave those who depend on her behind.

Lana is convinced she has nothing in common with the sons and daughters of celebrities and politicians who attend Blackwood School. But she soon finds out, that they're all delinquents... just like her. Theirs is a world of contrived headlines and publicity facades, and Lana's unabated honesty is a keen contrast to their lie-filled lives. She finds herself with new friends, just by telling the truth.

But not everyone is welcoming. Someone is out to destroy Lana, and she has no idea why. The longer she stays at Blackwood, the more dangerous it becomes for her and everyone she cares about. And it will only get worse when Lana discovers the truth.

Simply put, Rebecca Donovan has just written a young adult masterpiece.

Not only is the author's style of writing magical, the story telling is just as magnificent.  Wow, that's a lot of M words in two sentences. Masterpiece, magical, and magnificent.  Yup, pretty much sums it up.

Rebecca has a very talented knack at laying at the scenery and imagery as if you are in the story, in the scenes, and partaking in the plot alongside her characters.  Her characters are revealed one layer at a time, slowly peeling back another trait little by little as the story unfolds.

But this story.  This story is 100% engaging and mystifying.  I was glued to the pages from start to end.  And left hanging and craving more and more.

So many secrets and mysteries with this group of teens and this creepy-as-fuck school they are at.  While I want answers, I kind of don't.  I want this deliciousness to drag on as long as possible. PLL fan?  You'll love this.

You can't go wrong with Rebecca's writing and story telling.  And you definitely can't go wrong starting this amazing young adult series.  You'll be Cursed and quickly engrossed in this magical and mysterious story.
