It started with a window that was jammed shut. Pretty simple, right? All I wanted was to open the windows while I tidied the house. I’d been after my no-good husband to do it for months, but he never did. And then he shacked up with his secretary, leaving me with a pile of bills, husband-free for the first time in ten years, and with a house that was falling apart.

The ad popped up on the side of my social media feed—a local contracting agency willing to do pretty much anything. Since I don’t really know a screwdriver from a ratchet, I gave them a call.

And let me tell you, the ad was NOT lying. Jesse O’Neill can do it ALL…and looks amazing doing it.

He fixed my window, so I called him back to fix the sagging, splintery front steps. Which led to him fixing my kitchen sink. And then he recarpeted my stairs. And then fixed the squeak in my bed.

He was supposed to fix my house, not my rusty, sputtering libido. And certainly not my broken heart.

I love when a story sucks you in from the first page to the last. Let me tell you, that Jasinda NAILED it!

Imogen is adjusting to her life as a newly single woman. Her ex left her nothing but heartache and house that needs a major overhaul. It is hard to so when said ex also cleaned out the savings account. Living pay check to pay check is not what she had in mind but it is what is.

After an exhausting day at work at she wants to do is eat, have some wine and relax. Who knew a battle with her kitchen window and an advertisement for Dad Bod Contracting would change her life.

Enter in Jesse O’Neil from Dad Bod Contracting.

Not going to lie, Jesse is that contractor we all fantasize about. He is sweet, knowledgeable, funny and not to mention sexy as hell. He doesn’t hide his attraction from Imogen. He goes out of his way to help her out and doesn’t expect anything in return.

Together their chemistry is off the charts.

Not only did I get lost in this story immediately, I LOVED the fact that the characters were in their 40’s. The circumstances are completely relatable in every way.

Hammered is such a great start to a series and I am looking forward to the next book
