Star (44 Chapters #3) by B.B. Easton

Because BB Easton had so muBecause BB Easton had so much fun writing her best-selling, award-winning memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, she decided to give each of her four men his own steamy stand-alone. STAR is Hans’s book—a real-life rock star romance…with a twist.

In 1999, Brooke “BB” Bradley met her Prince Charming. He was the tall, tattooed, wickedly handsome bass player for the up-and-coming rock band, Phantom Limb. But, more importantly, he was hers. She knew it the moment he flashed her that shy, dimpled smile.

And he knew it too.

Hansel “Hans” Oppenheimer wore his heart on one sleeve and scrawled lyrics about BB on the other. Unlike the assholes of her past, he showered her with tenderness, took her places she’d never been before, and showed her the type of all-consuming love she’d thought only existed in fairy tales.

But, like any good fairy tale, BB’s road to happily ever after was paved with challenges, and right when she least expected it…it forked.

In 1999, Brooke “BB” Bradley met her Prince Charming.

In 2000, she met her soul mate.

Pour yourself a whiskey (doesn't matter what time it is), BB is back.

And now we are onto Hans.  Quite literally.

If I didn't know how 44 Chapters ended, I really would have thought that Hans was going to be the one.  But then there was that fork.  (And fuck, depends what your accent is.)

Knight makes his appearance as always with Hans' story.  And I finally got it.  FINALLY got it.  Right alongside BB, I finally got Knight in this one and where BB was with him.  Only took me a few books.  This was of no fault of BB's, this was actually superb.  For books and books, I felt the draw back and forth to him and she had me with her this whole time.  And I finally don't like Knight.  FINALLY.

But then Hans happened. And that smirk.  And the quiet.  And the music. And the love.  I thought he was it.  He really was Prince Charming.  BB was going to live the rock star life with Prince Charming with My Little Ponies everywhere.

Shit, you almost had me that Hans was going to be it.  Like it, IT.  And then that would have been awkward that I've been calling Hans "Ken" the last few years.

And then BB's life happens.

BB has a style of writing that makes you feel like you're right back to the teen/young adult days with her.  Living the life of falling in love, drugs, fast cars, loud music, poor decisions, brilliant decisions, knowing it all and knowing nothing.  And then there was purple Gatorade.

These books are all the facets that made BB... BB.  Take me on more rides with your words!
