Sordid: A Novel by Ava Harrison
It was his lips.
The way his stare sent shivers down my spine.
The way his rough voice whispered my name.
So I caved.
I did what I knew I shouldn’t.
But as quickly as he’s there, he’s gone.
Leaving me confused.
I hope I’ll never see him again…
Then I do.
He’s my new boss.
And he has secrets.
*Sordid is a COMPLETE standalone novel.
Ava handed this book off to me and tip-toed away WITH NO WARNINGS... only whispering to me later, "So, what did you think of Grant?"
I was worried I missed that Grant was Satan himself, but even then I would think that is pretty hot. But by God, I loved the man. LOVED him. Was I not supposed to?
Aside from that, I am not going to say much else about the book. Doing so will mean I will spill spoilers and we will all cry over the milk I spilled. Milk is gross, I should spill it.
This book is nothing short of amazing with the spins, the angst, and the roller coasters. My stomach was in knots and a little nauseous with anticipation. I'm not sure if I needed a shot of whiskey or a shot of Pepto. Either way, it was a delicious read and absolute perfection at the end of it all. At times this was a train wreck, a plane wreck, a car wreck, a pedestrian wreck, spilled milk, and broken hearts... all at the same time.
Don't worry. All of the above is good. So good. So. Fucking. Good.
Ava is brilliant. She is a goddess. She delicately lays out each line of her books with precision and emotion. Her plot is agonizing. Her characters are dicks at all the right times (and use their dicks at the right times too). Perfection. All of it.
