Drunk On You (Hope Town #4) by Harper Sloan
It was supposed to be fun.
A mutual use of each other's bodies.
To be a ruse to the world around us.
I wanted to be free from my ex, and he wanted to escape his.
One drunken night turned a joke into a life-changing moment.
He warned me not to fall for him, and I should've listened.
He intoxicated me.
He made me crave him.
He ruined me.
In the end, I'll never be the same.
Low on the trauma scale. Epic high on the sexy scale.
All we all want is just a drunk hook-up with no strings attached. Okay, not really, but sounded like a good start to my review. That's all that Shane and Nikki wanted. And it worked for them as their lines got blurred and the drunkenness wasn't from alcohol.
There was something about Shane and his sexy bar dancing that worked for me... like it did for Nikki. There is some BDSM in the mix, which didn't personally work for me, I think I wanted Shane to just be a sexy bar owner and dancer. But I know readers love them some BDSM. I just wanted it to not be Shane. Selfish, I know.
REGARDLESS. I love the book. I love Harper's style of storytelling and writing. The pacing and timelines work in perfect sync. Like N'Sync. Super sexy, super entertaining, super steamy.
And no donkeys.
