No Bad Days (The Fisher Brothers #1) by J. Sterling
Nick Fisher is State’s most eligible bachelor—confident, creative, and driven—and is completely aware that every girl he knows is trying to land him. But Nick is more than the marketing genius everyone sees on the outside. In fact, his life is far more complicated than anyone suspects . . . even his own brothers.
Jess Michaelson knows she shouldn’t want Nick like all the other girls do, but she’s crazy about him anyway. How could anyone resist those charms? When he focuses his attention on her, she has no idea what she’s truly in for.
Sometimes love is hard.
But it’s worth the fight.
“When his eyes opened and he stared at me, drinking me in, I wasn't sure how I stopped myself from quivering, because that look sent a fire through every part of me. "I'm going to kiss you now." It wasn't a request, yet it wasn't a demand either.”
I couldn’t stop reading this story. I immediately fell in love with both Nick and Jess. Nick’s character is fantastic. He is extremely popular and a complete ladies’ man. He is cocky but not in an annoying way.
Jess is focused on graduating and starting her career. She knows of Nick and his reputation to love them and leave them. There is something about him and their chemistry. He is definitely something she wasn’t prepared for.
Nick is persistent and he knows right away that Jess is special. The thing is, with Nick, things aren’t what they seem. He struggles and I enjoyed seeing him a little weak and vulnerable especially when he shares things with Jess.
"I messed up when it came to you, over and over again. It’s like the only thing I could get right was doing you wrong."
Their love for each other comes easy but their journey is far from it. Your emotions will be all over the place. I fell in love with Nick and Jess and look forward to more of the Fischer brothers.
J. Sterling has such an uncanny ability when it comes to those gut wrenching moments. She is also the queen of making you fall in love with her men, while at the same time wanting to squeeze the shit out their balls and pull their head out of their asses- this is in all the great ways, of course.
A Story from the heart and such a wonderful way to kick off the New Year.
