If I wasn’t totally in lust with Marcus before this book, this book would have done it!

That Daisy is one lucky woman… and I knew there was a reason I always liked Marcus.

Marcus and Daisy just fit. Let’s face it… Daisy is too strong a personality for most men to handle. She’s confident, embraces her own wacky style, is fiercely loyal to those she feels are worthy of that devotion and she is completely pragmatic about almost everything else in her life. I couldn’t blame her at all that she had a moment of doubt when Marcus didn’t act how she expected a man to behave. His devotion to her is what every woman dreams of but sadly what most women mistrust. I shouldn’t have worried….we’re talking Marcus…who is too fucking smooth to allow Daisy to question his intentions for long. If anything he may have slightly underestimated her strength and when he recognized that, he adjusted his thinking immediately. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Marcus and Daisy, but this book just proved I knew nothing. But I enjoyed every minute of being schooled.

There is only one thing that keeps throwing me about Daisy.  And that’s her constant comparison to Dolly Parton. If you’re close to my age, you became aware of Dolly Parton in the 80’s… and now every time I picture Daisy I picture Dolly Parton from that era…in my opinion not her most flattering decade. I have to remind myself constantly that she and Marcus were young…that Dolly Parton was fucking gorgeous at all ages, but her 20’s were spectacular. How could Marcus not have fallen in love with her? I know, that’s a small thing, but it takes me out of the story every time I read it.

But what sticks with me the most is that Daisy finally got her castle and her prince… forget the British Monarchy…Daisy and Marcus are my royalty.
