Preppy: The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater, Part Two

Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.

Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.

At least, not anymore.

Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.

This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

Telling you right now that T.M. does not even buy you dinner before jumping right into Part Two.  There is no wine.  There is no dine.  There is no foreplay.  There is no lube. There is literally no delay in jaw dropping shit right off the bat.

Literally my mind blew apart within pages of starting this edit.  (Yeah, if editing sucks, it's on me.  The plot was distracting.  So was Preppy.)

“Where do you want to go?”
“With you,” I said, pleading with my eyes. “I want to go with you.”
“Um…Preppy?” she asked, not waiting for me to answer. “Postpartum depression is what happens to some women after…after having babies. What I think you mean is something called post traumatic stress disorder.”
I waved her off. “Listen just because I call you Doc doesn’t mean you’re a medical expert,” I said, eliciting another small burst of laughter as she uncovered a ball of dough that had been rising in a bowl on the counter. “Besides, it doesn’t matter what the fuck it’s called, what matters is that I have it, so what I’m saying is that I’ll need to be taken care of. WELL taken care of. Mmmmmmkay?”

Frazier should be illegal with her level of talent her brain takes her plots.  In turn, ruining the rest of us with her brilliance.  Once again she had me running in circles - well not literally, but my brain was on a constant cycle of chasing my tail - trying to get ahead of the plot and solve the storyline before she did.  Like usual, she's always one step ahead.  Go figure.

Still not for the faint of heart.  Still not for the prude.  But definitely still for those of us that love the edgy, take you to the dark side, engaging stories.  Buckle up buttercup.

Aside from All The Rage - the Preppy portion of the series is turning out to be my favorite.  All of the supporting cast appears in the book to piece together the story that is more of Preppy.  And in true Frazier fashion, we are left with a cliff hanger.  You really shouldn't be surprised with that at this point.
